How Do 0800 Freephone Numbers Work?
Do I need special telephone lines?
No. Sovereign Telecom's 0800 freephone service uses ordinary existing
telephone lines.
Where do the 0800 calls arrive?
You select an ordinary telephone number, usually the normal number
that you use in your business, and the calls that are made to the
0800 number are directed to the number you have selected.
What happens to calls to my ordinary telephone number?
Nothing. Calls will continue to be received as before - they are
unaffected by the 0800 telephone number.
What happens if I wish to change the number to which calls are
directed?
You can make occasional changes as you wish and there is no charge
for these changes.
What happens if I want the 0800 calls delivered to a mobile number
or some other special number?
This can be done but there will be an additional charge for delivering
the calls to any special number such as a mobile or PCN number.
How quickly can the service be operational?
Once a completed agreement is received by Sovereign Telecom, the
service can be operational within about 2 working days.
How do I go about obtaining the service?
The service is subject to a written agreement. Contact us on 0870
800 2000 and we can allocate your number immediately.
How do I find out details of calls received?
Details of all calls made to your number are available to you through
your personal log-in at the Customer Service Centre on our website.
Here you will see details of all calls, including failed
calls - with a reason, showing caller's number, time, date,
duration and cost. This information is updated every working day
and there is no charge for this facility.
